Seis años después de lo ocurrido en 'Rompe Ralph', el rompe-muros sale de los recreativos junto a su compañera Vanellope von Schweetz para explorar un nuevo mundo realmente emocionante y extenso: internet. En su aventura por la red se lo jugarán todo para poder encontrar una pieza de repuesto que salve Sugar Rush, el videojuego de Vanellope. En su camino dependerán de los 'ciudanets', ciudadanos de la web, como Yesss, algoritmo estrella y alma de "BuzzTube", la página web de moda del momento. La secuela está llena de guiños al universo Disney con apariciones de muchos de los personajes más conocidos del estudio como las princesas Disney, los super-héroes de Marvel e incluso los Stormtrooper de 'Star Wars'.
